Już wiemy, że SFI organizowane jest przez 4 koła naukowe z 4 krakowskich uczelni. Dowiedzieliśmy się już trochę o Kole Informatyki BIT AGH. Przyszła pora na garść informacji o studentach Politechniki Krakowskiej!

Koło Naukowe Informatyków PK zostało założone w 2003 roku, przy Instytucie Teleinformatyki Politechniki Krakowskiej. W chwili powstania zrzeszało dwadzieścia osób, w znacznej części studiujących informatykę na Wydziale Inżynierii Elektrycznej i Komputerowej.

Na przestrzeni lat skład osobowy koła się zmieniał, nie przeszkodziło to jednak w dalszej prężnej działalności.

Członkowie koła to grupa pasjonatów skupionych wokół informatyki. Do największych projektów, przy których koło pracuje bądź pracowało należą: Elektroniczny Dziekanat, Radio Studenckie NOWINKI, Sesja Kół Naukowych Politechniki Krakowskiej.

I - co niezwykle istotne - KNI PK współpracuje także z Kołem Informatyki Bit AGH, Kołem Naukowym Informatyki UEK oraz Kołem Studentów Informatyki UJ przy organizacji największej studenckiej konferencji informatycznej w Polsce - Studenckiego Festiwalu Informatycznego.

It's finally snowing outside, so we have at least two reasons to be happy: We can build an IT-snowman, as well as... be proud to introduce our already second speaker at this year's festival!

Michał Tabor graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics at Warsaw University. He is an expert in Public Key Infrastructure, eGovernment systems and IT security.

During the 8th Academic IT Festival, Michał Tabor will talk about the role of computer technologies in public administration, with special focus on the topic of virtual identity.

It's worth mentioning that our speaker is not an only theoretical expert. He is also an experienced professional, being the operational director of Trusted Information Consulting, a company offering support with electronic signatures and PKI implementations.

Studencki Festiwal Informatyczny organizują członkowie czterech Kół Naukowych z 4 krakowskich uczelni. Nadszedł czas, by bliżej przyjrzeć się każdemu z nich. 

Alfabetycznie zaczniemy od Koła BIT działającego przy Akademii Górniczo Hutniczej w Krakowie.

BIT jest kołem naukowym działającym przy Wydziale Elektrotechniki, Automatyki, Informatyki i Elektroniki Akademii Górniczo Hutniczej. Koło od lat zrzesza ambitnych studentów "elektrycznego", pozwalając im rozwijać swoje zainteresowania w jednej z trzech sekcji:

.NET - to jak nazwa wskazuje, sekcja gromadząca entuzjastów technologii Microsoftu

Studenci zaciekawieni bezpieczeństwem danych oraz ochroną sieci odnajdą się w NetSec.

Ostatnią sekcją jest Programowanie zespołowe - skierowane do osób chcących pogłębić swoją wiedzę z zakresu algorytmiki.

Poszczególne sekcje są również współorganizatorami eventów takich jak: IT Academic Day czy KrakYourNet2.

Koło BIT to nie tylko sekcje, ale również inicjatywy studenckie. Jedną z nich jest BIWAK - Bitowy Intensywny Wysoce Atrakcyjny Kurs, czyli cykl otwartych spotkań prowadzonych przez studentów, dotyczących ciekawych aspektów informatyki. W ciągu ostatnich trzech lat w ramach BIWAKu odbyło się kilkanaście wykładów.

Efektem działalności Koła są też interesujące spotkania z ludźmi z branży IT, np. pracownikami Facebooka.

W zakres działań wpisuje się ponadto dystrybucja koszulek Informatyki AGH, pieszczotliwie nazywanych pidżamami ;)

Ważne z punktu widzenia każdego studenta Informatyki AGH jest utrzymanie kierunkowego serwera - tym również od lat zajmuje się BIT. 

Christmas is coming to an end. Yet again we could all spend some time with our families, then look out for presents under the Christmas tree.

It happens that we also have a gift for you! You are certainly very curious about who you will see at this year's festival, in the Auditorium Maximum of the Jagiellonian University.

Well, straight from the UK, it's Bruce Lawson who will be joining us in March, spending a whole three days in Krakow, sharing his knowledge and humor with us as well as visiting our beautiful city. 

If you want to find out why web pages behave differently in different browsers or devices, or why sometimes sites don't even work at all, be sure not to miss Bruce's lecture! 

Bruce will try to persuade us in a very ironic way to mess with the web, by exploiting the most common errors made ​​by web applications and browser developers.
